This free service is supported by Bolsover District Council and the Bolsover Local Strategic Partnership through the Working Neighbourhood Fund

Support for Local Business

Free business support and advice available with regards to the training, selection and recruitment of new staff. Support is available for small to medium sized businesses within the Bolsover District Council Wards and Markham Vale with the range of support including:

  • Creating job descriptions and person specifcations
  • Assisting with hard to fill vacancies
  • Advising on alternative employment routes i.e. Apprenticeships, Work Trials
  • Advising on employment support i.e. Wheels to Work, Access to Work
  • Promotion of vacancies through a range of agencies
  • Designing of job application forms
  • Managing the application and screening process
  • Providing ongoing support and training for newly recruited staff through the project

The project also supports local residents with their training and development needs to ensure that they have the skills to match suitable vacancies that may arise.

Support for Local Unemployed Residents

A range of localised support is available for residents within the Bolsover District Council Wards to aim to get back into employment.

The range of support available includes:

  • Support with job applications
  • CV writing skills
  • Confidence building
  • Presentation skills
  • Job search and vacancy matching
  • Pre employment training
